The Sun from Behind Dreams

The Sun from Behind Dreams is a piece based on some organ recordings I made at the Amstelkerk in Amsterdam, which I later remixed and manipulated. Playing around subtly with the organ stops created eerie harmonies and voice-like intermodulations which I enhanced by pitch shifting and layering parts. Some interesting and alien chords arise, along with their complex emotions.

The original cover photo was taken in Portugal when the sunlight got filtered dramatically by the wildfire ashes in the early evening sky.

The Sun from Behind Dreams is the first in a possible series of electronic compositions based on the organ.
