How much more physical would you like your music than an album cover that reacts on the warmth of your touch? This partly hand-made, beautiful thermo ink package edition of Translucid seems almost as alive as the music itself, with the details only revealing through interacting with the artwork. An absolute must-have showpiece for your already great and tasteful music collection.

TRANSLUCID could be viewed as a half album, the rest of it is completed by the sensation of the wind and the sounds of the surroundings. A flight over the deserted landscape of a ghostly land full of swirling cycles and textures, all pieces are either improvised or composed on the spot and all of them feature loops to some degree, be it just as a background or completely based on them.
It became an album that completely took its own turn and ended up very differently than I expected, which is funny for something I got so involved in. It reflects on a period when I suddenly had so much more time, but so much less inspiration coming from outside of me, and it urged me to take inspiration from inside more so than on previous albums which was quite a challenge. TRANSLUCID is also the first album I mixed mostly analog, with my hands physically on the board. This physicality is possibly what made the album start living its own life; the airy touch of the mixing, the layered use of my own voice and the way the music blends with realtime sounds.
The CD artwork features hidden images: the cover appears and disappears depending on temperature and the inside of the sleeve comes to life when you move the CD around like a spotlight in the darkness.
